Friends of the McNay
Passionate about Prints and Drawings?
Dedicated to supporting the growth and expansion of the McNay's renowned prints and drawings collection, the Friends of the McNay is a dynamic affiliate group that engages its members to learn, experience, and explore printmaking and collecting. The Friends of the McNay have been financial supporters of the museum for over 46 years, providing substantial donations toward the purchase of works of art for the McNay's permanent collection. Members enjoy unique educational and social events including hands-on workshops, curator-led exhibition tours, artist talks, and visits to galleries and private collections.
If you’d like to learn more than a thing or two about prints and drawings, the Friends of the McNay have spent more than 50 years doing just that and more:
Visiting printmaking studios, galleries, extraordinary exhibitions, and private collections in San Antonio.
Exploring the varied possibilities of woodcuts, etchings, lithographs, and screenprints.
Traveling with other print enthusiasts on an annual Friends trip to see other collections of works on paper.
Expanding personal collections with special previews of the McNay Print Fair.
Helping the McNay to develop its nationally recognized collection of prints and drawings.
In order to join Friends of the McNay, you must first be a Supporting ($150) member of the McNay. 100% of dues go directly to supporting the programs and activities of the Friends of the McNay.
